In recent years, new curriculum reform advocates “independence, cooperation and explorative learning pattern”. Chinese unit teaching plays a positive role in cultivating independent ability of students and constructing open and energetic Chinese classes. Due to disadvantages of textbook compiling in practical operation, teaching practice of unit reading remains less satisfactory. Based on junior Chinese textbooks published by Jiangsu Education Press and arrangement of modern narrative essay units, this thesis identified problems during compiling of textbooks, and thus analyzed the feasibility and necessity to rearrange the overall teaching order of reading parts of modern narrative essay units. On the basis, the author explored rearrangement and realization ways of overall order of junior Chinese textbooks published by Jiangsu Education Press. The whole thesis unfolds by coming up with problems, analyzing problems and solving problems and organizes its structure according to the pattern.In the first chapter of the thesis, the author clarified teaching implications of reading parts of modern narrative essay units. Based on junior Chinese textbooks published by Jiangsu Education Press, the thesis explored humanity components of modern narrative essay units and teaching practice problems caused by such components.In the second chapter of the thesis, author explored the necessity and feasibility to rearrange the overall order which was put forward by the last chapter.The necessity of rearrangement of the overall order of teaching units mainly lies in the following aspects:rearrangement could reflect the nature of Chinese courses during Chinese teaching;rearrangement could improve Chinese proficiency of students; in addition, it could effectively promote transformation of teaching ideas and professional development of teachers. The feasibility mainly depends on reference and development availabilities. Inaddition, the right of teachers to develop textbooks for a second time guarantees rearrangement of the overall order of teaching units.In the third part of the thesis, the author explored realization ways for us to rearrange the overall order of teaching units according to the model “textbook interpretation—unit rearrangement—analysis of student status”, among which textbook interpretation serves as cornerstone, unit rearrangement is the objective, and analysis of student status offers guarantee. These three elements supplement each other and precedes over the previous one.
