The expansion of graduate education began in 2003. In 2009, China began to promote Specializing Master education, so postgraduate education had to expand the scale again. The survey of graduate professional identity was did in Yunnan University, hoping to make some valuable suggestions for postgraduate education. The results of this study shows that Yunnan University graduate students recognized status level is not high. It showed consistence with previous researches, and it also showed some unique things. First, the professional identity of boys is better than girls; Second, professional identity of first grade students is better than third grade students, and third grade is better than second grade; Third, the academic recognition of the professional master is better than the Specializing Master; Fourth, the Identity situation of humanities and social sciences majors is worse than science and engineering students; Fifth, the Identity situation of the Master with work experience is better than no work experience Master. The later regression analysis showed that:Among the four categories of factors, the greatest impact is from the social factors, and the research factor is minimal impact factor. This implies that the participation in scientific research is not enoughFor the problem of the above findings, this paper presents several key recommendations. First, schools should give students timely psychological counseling to help students correct attitude towards learning; Second, schools should establish the professional career planning programs; Third, the university should improve the professional master’s education system; Fourth, master school student professional conversion policy should be more flexible; Fifth, the university should strengthen the construction of science and engineering; Finally, schools should strengthen graduate research activities.
