With the reform and opening-up policy, China has achieved rapid economic development which ranked NO.2 in the world. Various aspects of social life have made significant improvement including the continuous rising of social mobility and enhancement of social vitality. It proves that China has already formed an opening modern social mobility mechanism model. However, at the same time, the institutional barriers which are left from the planned economy have not been completely eliminated, thus the household register system, employment system, personnel system as well as the educational opportunity are still being the bottleneck for people’s upward mobility and access to higher social position, while a society must form a fair, reasonable and orderly social mobility mechanism so as to ensure a healthy and continuous development.Compared with the objective social mobility, self-judgement social mobility do really have a big impact on the obtaining of personal happiness, the construction of harmonious society and the acquisition of political trust. Thus this paper uses the 2010 CGSS questionnaire data to do the empirical analysis and try to find out the factors that influence the subjective judgement of social mobility. And the results of this empirical research shows that apart from institutional and political factors, ascriptive factors like urban hukou, party membership will still have a significant influence on children’s subjective judgement for social mobility and further encourage the phenomenon of steadiness of social mobility. While from the common sense, people usually think that father’s job will do great help for children’s better social position. To our surprise, the research didn’t show the consistent result for not finding the significant correlation between them. As for the acquired factors, education played a complicated role while the value for personal hardworking acted as a positive influence for upward mobility. In conclusion, since the implement of reform and opening-up policy, the role of some ascriptive factors has been reduced or even has none effect while with the help of rich social capital, the other ascriptive factors are still playing a strong part in the subjective judgement for social mobility. Besides, with the society more opening and all kinds of supporting institutional reforms, acquired factors are becoming more and more important. Thus we can tell that ascriptive and acquired factors are playing integrated effects in the subjective judgement for social mobility and always adjust to different society, economic and political structure for either ascriptive factors or acquired factors will prevail. Therefore, to find out the prevailing factors and further accordingly breaks the vested interest and social capital advantage to enlarge the middle class and finally form an open, reasonable, competitive and fair social mobility system which is of great significance for keeping a healthy and orderly harmonious society.
