As an important aspect of social mobility, international mobility is closely related to China's social and economic development.Intergenerational mobility mainly refers to the change of social status of two generations of family, that is,the difference between the status of children and the social status of parents. The measurement of social status is very complicated. There are many factors that determine it,such as a person's economic level, occupation and the size of his power.Among these factors,a person's professional status to a certain extent determines the size of a person's economic income and power, which is the most indicators of a person's social status.Relevant studies at home and abroad show that parents' careers,to a certain extent, indirectly or directly affect their children's career acquisition and choice, thus affecting their children's career development path.Intergenerational mobility is mainly divided into intergenerational occupational mobility and intergenerational income mobility. At present, domestic research mostly focuses on intergenerational mobility from the perspective of income, and there are few literatures on intergenerational mobility from the perspective of occupation. In this paper, through the entry point of occupational variables,CHIP2014 data is used to analyze the social stratum mobility, and try to explore the impact of various factors on intergenerational occupational mobility.Previous literatures have only considered the influence of father's occupation on children's occupation, and seldom studied the influence of mother's occupation on children's occupation status acquisition. This paper not only studies the influence of father on children's career development, but also takes mother into account. At the same time, descriptive analysis and empirical method are used.In the empirical part,on the one hand,we use multiple logit models to analyze the influencing factors of the change direction of urban children's occupational stratum relative to their parents' occupational stratum;on the other hand,we use binary logit model to analyze the influencing factors of urban children's entry into the occupational stratum,so that we can make a more comprehensive analysis of family occupational intergenerational mobility. This paper finds that the inter-generational mobility of urban residents' occupations is not strong at present.Intergenerational mobility is mainly short-distance mobility, and upward mobility is more frequent than downward mobility, which is generally shown as upward mobility. The empirical results show that:(1)parents' occupation is positively related to their children's occupation, and the higher their parents' occupation class, the more likely their children will enter higher occupation class;(2)children born in the bottom family have higher upward mobility;(3)women have higher upward mobility probability and lower inheritance probability than men, butwomen are entering higher mental work. The probabilyof social stratum is lower than that of male;(4)Higher educated people can significantly increase upward mobility and reduce downward mobility, and help them enter higher occupational stratum. In this study,we also find that the influence of mother's occupation onchildren's intergenerational career upward mobility and children's entry into higher vocationalclass is greater than that of father's occupation, which shows that the role of mother in a family is greater than that of father to some extent. Finally, based on the empirical results, this paper puts forward relevant policy recommendations.
