Junior high school physics teaching content, atmospheric pressure is not as the focus of teaching, it is not a hot exam, but it is difficult to understand the contents of one of the students. It is a big problem how to make students understand the concept of atmospheric pressure and its mechanism in the design of the content of this section. A lot of educational practice workers, although aware of students on this part of the content difficult to accept and understand, but unable to find a good way to deal with, in here to teach choose a pen or directly to avoid the hot taro. The traditional teaching style of teaching will be the pressure of the pressure and the liquid pressure to do the analogy, trying to use the boring text to allow students to accept the concept of atmospheric pressure. With the continuous development of teaching reform, teaching methods have changed, the inquiry teaching in junior high school physics class is very popular. More and more teaching design pressure design for inquiry teaching to get rid of "spoon feeding" teaching and traditional teaching methods, trying to let the students from the emotional level to understand atmospheric pressure.After consulting many teaching design, the author found that although compared with the traditional teaching method, the inquiry based teaching has achieved good results, but the core of the problem is still not solved. Most "high pressure" inquiry teaching design, just simply increases the experimental demonstration of the existence of air pressure proof, some design will this as the focus of research and demonstration experiments in amazing tricks, after demonstration is stiff and threw it out of the air pressure this noun. In addition, when explaining the generation mechanism of atmospheric pressure, or the use of analogy in teaching materials, the production mechanism of liquid pressure is applied to the atmospheric pressure. This will let the students until high school or the generation of atmospheric pressure has a wrong understanding of the impact of its further study.This design tries to find a new balance point in the traditional teaching and inquiry teaching, in order to solve the difficult problem of the students. The entire teaching activity around the "hanger sucker why it is difficult to pull" and "much force can be pulled the suction hook" this two center, let the student through personally operation, measurement, calculation and prediction of a series of activities, it is natural to get the concept of atmospheric pressure. For the treatment of atmospheric pressure to produce this part, let students discuss, publish their views of a powerful and unconstrained style. Finally, teachers from the theory of molecular motion, the fundamental reason for the strong pressure generated, rather than the analogy to the liquid pressure, to avoid the students think that the pressure is strong because of the gravity of the air. In addition, the design of the student’s hands-on computing, trying to make the students from the perceptual stage to the quantitative measurement, as far as possible to make teaching activities designed to be natural and reasonable.
