The teacher is the soul of education, cultivating a team of professional teachers is a precondition to promote the education enterprise in our country. Under the background of information age, information technology produces a profound impact on teachers’ knowledge structure, technological knowledge has become an important part of teachers’ professional knowledge structure. Thus, Koehler and Mishra put forward the integrated technical subject teaching knowledge (TPACK) theory at the basis of Shulman’ PCK theory. High school geography teachers’TPACK levels determine their ability to use information technology in the high school geography teaching. Therefore, this study around the key question:"How to evaluate and development of the high school geography teachers’ TPACK".This research mainly use literature analysis, questionnaire method and classroom observation to collect data. After reference carding at home and abroad, this study will redefined the high school geography teachers’ TPACK as:A new understanding, judgment, or skill that high school geography teachers are unique, which basis on technical knowledge,pedagogical knowledge and content knowledge.On the basis of interpreing the connotation, composition and characteristics of TPACK, this article trying to build an index system of high school geography teachers’ TPACK, using the combined method of qualitative and quantitative to measure the level of high school geography teachers in Wuhan. The research will be divided into three stages:The first stage:Investigating the self evaluation present situation of high school geography teacher TPACK in wuhan area.The second stage:Analysing the teaching design case of the planet earth" in wuhan area.The third stage:Analysing the teaching activity of "the planet earth" chapter in wuhan area.Finally, aimed at teacher TPACK existing problems, this study put forward the development strategy and teaching advice from the perspective of the development of teachers and students development.
