With the comprehensive innovation and development of information technology,informatization of education has become the mainstream trend of current education reform.As the main participants and implementers of the current educational informatization reform,teachers should have the ability and literacy to adapt to the needs of the time and realize their professional development.In this context,the theoretical model of TPACK came into being.The theory deeply integrates information technology,subject content and teaching methods,and forms a new theoretical model of teacher education that meets the needs of the time TPACK theory is proposed for teachers to master and use information technology to achieve efficient classroom teaching.Therefore,teachers' TPACK ability is the core competitiveness of future teacher professional development.The core issue of this study is "how to improve the teacher's information literacy by cultivating teachers' TPACK ability to realize teacher professional development." This study is based on the middle school geography teachers of 17 junior high schools and 13 high schools in Kaifeng City.Based on geography teaching theory,constructivist theory,information technology and curriculum integration theory,the survey uses 110 questionnaires,interviews of the geography teachers in Kaifeng and then all of those datum are used to progress statistical analysis to measure the TPACK level of geography teachers in middle schools.We also interview teacher on the existing problems,and propose corresponding promotion strategies to promote the improvement of TPACK level of middle school geography teachers.The research has suggested that:(1)the TPACK abilities of geography teachers in Kaifeng are above average,especially,have good command of CK,PK and PCK;(2)the ability of information-based teaching of the geography teachers is weak,and has significant different with each other,the difference is embodied in the low scores that the middle school teachers have,and there is a significant difference in the level of TPACK of teachers in different stages of development;(3)The age,teaching age and professional title of geography teachers in Kaifeng City have significant influence on the TPACK level of middle school geography teachers,however,it was not significantly affected by the sexuality,educational background and the school where they worked;(4)In the TPACK structure,the subject knowledge of integrated technology(TCK)has the greatest impact on the TPACK level of middle school geography teachers.The investigator proposed improvement strategies aimed at solving the problems existed in the current situation of middle school geography teachers' TPACK level in Kaifeng : First,attach importance to the application and training of the subject content knowledge(TCK)dimension of middle school geography teacher integration technology;secondly,strengthen the information technology application ability of middle school geography teachers,and study geography on the basis of mastering and paying attention to geography teaching technology.Course standards,grasp the opportunity of technology integration;Third,Pay attention to individual differences among students and implement a diverse classroom evaluation method;Fourth,observe the expert demonstration class,participate in the same class,establish Teachers and apprentices and other means to strengthen inter-school cooperation,share experience of practice integration,and achieve professional development among different groups of teachers;Fifth,with the guidance of TPACK theory,strengthen the practical integration ability of geography teachers in middle schools.The innovation of the research:(1)the novel results of cultivating the geography teachers' teaching technology in TPACK theory is still rarely,the current study has introduced the TPACK theory into the teaching of middle school geography,and to some extent,it has enriched TPACK's application field;(2)the current study reflected the status quo of middle school geography teachers' TPACK ability truly and proposed relevant improvement strategies.With the gradual deepening of education information reform,the research on improving the TPACK ability of middle school geography teachers and promoting the professional development of middle school geography teachers will become the focus of future education research.Through this research,it is expected to urge more middle school geography teachers to pay attention to the level of TPACK of their own integrated technology,to promote the professional development of the entire middle school geography teacher group by improving their TPACK teaching ability;And institutions can provide a good platform for the professional development of geography teachers in middle schools,and jointly promote the vigorous development of education reform.
