With the rapid development of productivity,Twenty-first Century has become the era of information explosion,as well as the era of science and technology,even the era of knowledge economy. China continue to promote the strategy of developing the country through science and education and attach great importance to the development of education, the new curriculum reform of basic education is like a raging fire. The curriculum reform of Senior politics lesson is also showing a thriving situation, the new curriculum ideas emerge in abundance, teaching methods have been improved and innovated. Inquiry teaching is an indelible mark among various teaching methods of Senior politics lesson.Inquiry Teaching conforms to the requirement of the successors of the socialist modernization in the new era,helping to guide the students to independent thinking and problem solving,as well as mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of students to further strengthen the students’ subject position in teaching, but also conducive to the cultivation of innovative consciousness and enhance capacity in practice,so as to achieve the double targets of intellectual education and moral education of Senior politics lesson.However, in the actual teaching process,inquiry teaching is faced with many challenges and difficulties, and the teaching effect needs to be further improved. Inquiry teaching of Senior politics lesson needs further theoretical and practice support.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part, on the basis of consulting a lot of literature, the paper discusses the origin, connotation, characteristics and significance of inquiry teaching, which is the basis for the following discussion. The second part, through the teaching practice, actual investigation and communicating with relevant teachers, the paper describes the present situation of the application of the inquiry teaching of Senior politics lesson,not only affirms its accomplishment but also points out the existing problems; then studies the reason behind the inquiry teaching. The third part, on the basis of the second part it points out the effective way to promote inquiry teaching of Ideology and Politics Lesson in Senior High School, mainly discusses from the following aspects:principles of inquiry teaching, theme determination of inquiry teaching,pattern of inquiry teaching and teaching evaluation of inquiry teaching.The significance of this paper is to further enrich theoretical basis of inquiry teaching and provide reasonable strategy of inquiry teaching,as well as enhance the students’ interest in learning,mobilize their learning enthusiasm and initiative,cultivate their innovative ability and practical spirit. The study of inquiry teaching of Senior politics lesson is a long-term and arduous task,it needs the joint efforts of educators to work together!...
