"To students" is the fundamental concept of the high school ideological and political course reform. Therefore, the teaching of ideological and political course should take students as the center, realize the translation from "want me to learn" to "I want to learn", enhance its efficiency,and lay good ideological and political quality basis for the development of students. The author believes that it is necessary to implement incentive education to achieve this transformation. This paper carries out a more comprehensive study and research on the use of the incentive education in high school ideological and political teaching from four different aspects.First of all, on the basis of the relevant scholars’ research, the author makes an overview of the incentive education, and concludes that incentive education is essentially educators on the basis of respecting students’ subjectivity and reasonable demand, create all kinds of positive conditions to meet students’ need and stimulate their intrinsic motivation to realize students’ self-motivation and active development.Secondly, combined with the current trend of curriculum reform and the practice of high school political lesson, the author summarizes the important significance of the incentive education for the high school ideological and political teaching.It is the need of adapting to high school students psychological characteristics and cultivating their subject consciousness; it is the need of coordinating the relationship between teachers and students; it is the need of the current high school ideological political lesson dilemma; and it is the need of the new curriculum reform in Senior High School ideological and political course.Again, this paper summarizes the principles and methods of the implementation of incentive education should follow.This is also the high school politics class teaching smoothly to carry out the incentive education to follow.Finally, in order to optimize the effect of incentive education in the ideological and political courses in high school, the author proposes that teachers should first establish incentive ideas and strive to improve their own quality, construct the environment that incentive education can be applied to, improve the curriculum evaluation system of the political lesson teaching, and optimize classroom teaching of high school ideological and political lesson.
