Throughout high school physics subject in the teaching content, the laws of physics and the formula is not much, however, for most students, physics is a difficult subject. What makes students produced difficulty feeling is that the physical is a subject with strong logical discipline. With his unique system of logic, the logical relationship between physical laws is difficult to understand, and it also requires higher abstract thinking ability of students, so if students only have the laws of physics without understanding its internal relations, it is easy to make mistakes when analyzing physical processes and physical phenomena. But the boring physical formulas, theorems and words are very difficult to effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of students. It is difficult for students to understand the knowledge points in the process of learning physics, and the function image can be specific to the abstract knowledge, compared to boring theorems and laws, abstract, seemingly simple physics formulas, function images can reflect the physical formula and physical law directly and vividly, and reflect the physical process more vividly and intuitively. Reasonable application of function image in the teaching process not only make students understand and master the physical knowledge simple, but also divergent thinking of students, improve students’ ability to solve problems, and promote the comprehensive development of students.On the basis of theoretical research, empirical research and teaching experiments, this paper describes the function and value of function image in improving physics teaching, analyzes the current situation and the existing problems of application function image in Physics Teaching in high school, and test the effect of the teaching mode of function image method in practice, which is aimed at providing some valuable reference for high school physics teachers and students in high school physics teaching activities. Based on this, the main contents of this paper are as follows:The first part introduces the background of this study, combined with the goal of curriculum reform and the examination of the physical function of the college entrance examination demonstrated the importance of functional graphics in Physics Teaching in high school. The second part, function commonly used graphics on high school physics were classified, studied the function and significance of the image function, analysis the function of the image on the ability of students to test points.The third part, through the empirical investigation and analysis of the function image in high school physics teaching in the current situation.The fourth part, it tries to put forward some effective strategies of function image in high school physics teaching.The fifth part, studying function image method teaching effect through the teaching practice. In the sixth part, a brief summary of the present research points out the existing problems and the direction of the efforts.
