Under the background of information age in the 21 st century, the development of science and technology is profoundly changing the various fields of society. At the same time, it also affects the development of education, "instead of" challenges the traditional classroom. Under the background of new curriculum reform, how to in limited teaching time can make students interested in learning, thus effectively grasp basic geographic knowledge, cultivating geographical application ability, this is a very important problem. Micro course arises at the historic moment under the background, there are a number of geographical phenomenon is very abstract and difficult to vivid description, how to apply the lesson in geography subject is crucial.This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter describes the background, significance and methods of research in foreign countries. The second chapter introduces the micro class in high school geography teaching applications are outlined, its significance and value lies in the micro class itself advantages, namely the concept of it is short and pithy and no regional restrictions, coupled with the micro class shooting and production technology in hardware and software has made an important breakthrough, and relative to the traditional classroom can save more time. Because now researchers has yet to reach a consensus on the definition of micro class, the author thinks that the micro class refers to video as the core, based on the requirements of subject knowledge and teaching practice, recording micro short instructional videos to teach a knowledge of a special form of instruction, and geographic micro lesson is to establish in the geographical knowledge of micro class. The third chapter in this paper by means of questionnaire survey to investigate the local micro class in high school geography teaching application, mainly on local teachers and students survey then finishing recovery, analysis results, draw the conclusion. The fourth chapter is to find out the problems in the application of geography micro class and the relevant optimization strategies. The fifth chapter is the summary of the effectiveness of the application of micro class in the classroom, as well as the lack of reflection, etc., to a broader perspective of the comprehensive assessment.This study in to sort out the current scholars of micro class and micro lesson in Geography Teaching Applied Research Based on, through their analysis study on micro course of theoretical research, practice and research status quo, development, application, evaluation, reflection, to further explore the development and application of micro class, to fill the vacancy of study, more systematic construction of micro course of basic concepts and practical applications.
