The importance of local geography education has been emphasized in several documents issued by the state as the new curriculum reform progresses steadily.In particular,local geography is an important teaching resource that is close to students' lives,mobilizes students' interest in learning,and cultivates students' sense of home and country.The development of students' geographic core accomplishment is clearly emphasized in the general high school geography curriculum standards promulgated by the Ministry of Education in 2017.Geographical core accomplishment is to meet the needs of society for talent cultivation.Its more comprehensive and specific cultivation goals for students.The use of local geography curriculum resources in high school geography teaching is not only beneficial to the cultivation of students' geographical core accomplishment,but also can promote the achievement of the general goal of moral education.Based on the above,an in-depth study is conducted on the application of local geography curriculum resources in Xining region with geographic core accomplishment cultivation as the point of reference.It can enrich the theoretical results and provide reference for geography teachers in related areas to develop and utilize local geography curriculum resources.First,this paper compares the relevant literature on the application of local geography curriculum resources based on geographical core accomplishment.Subsequently,the concepts of geographical core accomplishment and local geography curriculum resources are clarified,and the basic theories of Tao Xingzhi's "education for life",constructivism,and contextual learning are elaborated.Based on this,local geography curriculum resources in Xining were sorted out by using fieldwork and literature research.The survey results indicated that there are abundant local resources available in Xining.Second,a survey of 306 high school students and 30 geography teachers in Xining area was conducted by questionnaire method.The current situation of applying local geography curriculum resources based on geographical core accomplishment in Xining was analyzed.The findings indicated that,firstly,teachers' awareness of local geography curriculum resources did not match with their actual actions.Second,teachers failed to effectively use local geography curriculum resources to develop students' geographic core accomplishment.Third,there is neglect of practical geography activities and the cultivation of students' practical geography skills is significantly weaker.Fourth,the geographic level of students is poor and their understanding of local knowledge is not high.On the basis of the above findings,this paper puts forward corresponding application strategies.Firstly,teachers should dig deeply into local geographic resources and lead students with their own development;secondly,it is important for teachers to create local classrooms with teaching materials to cultivate students' comprehensive thinking and regional cognition;thirdly,the practical activities of local geography should be organized to enhance students' geographic practice;fourthly,it is essential to cultivate local geographic emotions and cultivate students' view of human-earth harmony.Finally,this paper selects two sections of "sponge city" and "integrity of natural geography",and a case study of using local geography curriculum resources to cultivate students' geographic core accomplishment in high school geography is designed.The results of this study demonstrate that,firstly,the development of geography research and geography quality education in China started late,but the speed of development is fast.At present,there are more and more relevant theoretical achievements in China.Secondly,Xining City has abundant local geography curriculum resources for use.Thirdly,high school students in Xining City have less knowledge about their hometown and weak local awareness.Teachers do not make enough use of local geography curriculum resources in classroom teaching,and do not cultivate students' geographical core literacy.Finally,the application of local geography curriculum resources to high school geography teaching is significant for the cultivation of students' core accomplishment.
