In recent years, the number of university graduates in China Create a new record, but the employment situation is not optimistic, a part of the university graduates choose to "bite" to their parents instead of apply for a job for various reasons, for this they are called as the NEET group. And they had a bad influence on their own, family and society. First, they do not contact with society for a long time will lead a pessimistic attitude, a extreme behavior. these cases are not conducive to personal growth and the realization of self value; secondly, these people rely on their parents both in physically and mentally, causing a serious burden to the parents, being disadvantageous to family harmony, striking the traditional filial piety; thirdly, it is also a human resources and education resources waste, with indolent undesirable ethos and the social morality will decline.This thesis takes those who have already earned the academic diplomas from colleges and universities as the study objects. They are healthy people with labor capacity, but don’t want to find jobs subjectively or in a state of changing jobs constantly, instead, they live on their parents. Taking the method of social casework, this paper studies the employment consciousness of the “neet(Not in Education,Employment or Training)” graduates, aiming at guiding them to get out of the employment trouble. There are 5 parts in the thesis. Part one is about the research background, research significance and literature review in China and abroad. Part two first introduces the relative concept, such as the “neet” group, employment consciousness and social casework. Then it analyzes the application of strength perspective and cognitive perspective in the “neet” graduates. Also, it studies the advantages of the application of the method of social casework in the employment consciousness of the “neet” graduates. In the third part, the cases of the “neet” graduates’ employment consciousness are introduced and analyzed with the method of social casework. Then the main problems of the group are defined, and the reasons of them are explored. The fourth part is about the specific implementation of the application of social casework. Taking the method of social casework and the form of talks and home interviews, this thesis tries to guide the “neet” group to form the correct employment consciousness and sense, develop perfect personality and improve survival capacity, so as to help them find proper jobs and be integrated into the society again. The last part is about the conclusion and advice to the problem.
