AP(the Advanced Placement) courses, also known as the American Advanced Placement courses. Advanced Placement courses means to achieve academic standards and academic level college courses in high school. It originally from the 1950 s in the United States, it is an important measure to effectively promote quality education, strengthen the links between secondary schools and universities, while achieving both in the curriculum on teaching and reasonable transition in the United States today. AP courses provide opportunities for students in high school will be able to access to the course content university elementary level. Students pass the exam can get the appropriate credits, these credits will be recognized by universities, so that high school students entering college can avoid duplication and reduce the cost of education, the results of the course has become an important basis for the admission of the American university entrance. In recent years, a number of high schools in the exploration of active university advanced placement courses, however, China Advanced Placement Courses is relatively new and still immature, need to improved in practice. As as a successful experience during the development of advanced placement courses, US AP courses in the sixty years curriculum development, syllabus schedule, curriculum implementation and use of the results of the examination and evaluation, teacher training and other aspects, could provide useful guidance and reference for the development and construction of China Advanced Placement courses. In addition, we must also take into account, China has its own conditions and the actual situation that we can not copy and replica AP courses. Based on the large number of relevant documents, mechanism AP course in American projects, quality assurance system and test and evaluation, characteristics and achievements of the analysis, and then preliminary analysis the implementation of Advanced Placement courses,we can see the some problems in China Advanced Placement Courses. Successful experience of AP courses can carry out a great reference and value to China Advanced Placement Courses. This paper is divided into four chapters, namely China Advanced Placement course outlines, Implementation and achievements overseas Advanced Placement courses, Practice and Problems of Advanced Placement courses, Enlightenment of China Advanced Placement courses.The first chapter is " China Advanced Placement course outlines." Introduct the development of Advanced Placement courses, including process, stage and development of the status. There is a gap between high school and university education. Secondary education and higher education, although two stages of education, but they are not completely isolated, they need to cooperate with each other. We should pay attention to their transition, and we should try to avoid duplication of secondary and higher education curricula in order to prevent waste of educational resources, and save time and ultimately promote convergence between secondary and higher education, and bring about reasonable transition of courses and optimal allocation of resourses.The second chapter is "Implementation and achievements overseas Advanced Placement courses." As a reference model for AP courses, AP courses are rigorous and standardized implementation of the system, this chapter details the characteristics and settings of Advanced Placement courses abroad, specific operating mechanism, quality assurance system and AP courses introduced. The reason why AP courses all over the world have such a big impact with it’s own unique achievements are inseparable, its greatest feature is different from the traditional high school curriculum, introduced with the content of the primary level, and expand the students’ knowledge, students focus on logical thinking ability and training.The third chapter is "Practice and Problems of Advanced Placement courses." Our Advanced Placement courses are in the early stages, though there are already preliminary results, but all aspects of development is not yet mature. This chapter analyzes the creation of Advanced Placement courses sense, the focus of the US Advanced Placement courses practice, analyzes the status quo offer Advanced Placement courses, including courses in mode, start type of research is booming AC, MOOCAP courses and curriculum, and introduce our offer Advanced Placement courses and commenced type manner, analyze problems which have produced.The fourth chapter is "Enlightenment of China Advanced Placement courses". AP courses has important reference and guidance in the curriculum, quality assurance, teacher and other aspects. By the analysis of last chapter of the problems in China Advanced Placement courses, we can see that the success achievement in the United States AP courses.On this basis,we can learn from the AP courses beneficial element and analyzes the enlightenment which AP course bring to Chinese Advanced Placement.
