There exists a big difference between high school courses and university courses,and the weak link makes the transition difficult for some freshmen.And it is not scientific to depend solely on the National College Entrance Examination to admit students.CAP courses,which are based on American AP courses,are developed in China to solve this problem.Based on previous studies,by consulting with the specialists,this thesis is to present CAP's problems from four aspects,that is,system,curriculum,students and teachers,and evaluation.Also,advice is given to improve the situation.There are four teaching ways in CAP.The professor can teach in high school,on Internet,or by recording videos.The last way is to teach in high school by high school teachers.Fund and research support should be provided for CAP courses.CAP program should examine and supervise the curriculum strictly.High schools should communicate and cooperate with each other and develop school-based courses.Some students are not allowed to attend CAP courses because their comprehensive scores are not high enough even though they are talented in certain subject.Therefore,different levels of CAP courses should be set to benefit more students.Besides,more teachers should be trained.Internet should be used to train teachers and provide course resources for students.In addition,teachers in CAP courses should be encouraged and university should set up more courses related to CAP programs.The current CAP evaluation system can present students' comprehensive ability,but the system is not widely recognized.An ally should be formed among universities to make the evaluation more reasonable and valid.
