These favorable changes are not only in basic life necessities, but also in these generally realized livelihood requirements that every kid enjoys school education!, everyone has work to do", every sick people enjoys health care!, the elderly will be looked after properly! and everyone has his home to live in!. Compulsory education, old-age insurance and health care reform truly bring tangible benefits for the people resident in the southeast part of Guizhou Province. Seen from current situation, the needs of local people for basic life necessities have been basically satisfied. However, this level is still relatively low and there is still great improving space from the view of quality.Attending school education is not equal to enjoy good education. Having work to do is not equal to high income. Enjoying health care is not equal to good medical treatment. Lots of negative phenomena causing tasteless life such as vanishing culture appeared in the process of meeting basic standards, which hindering further promotion of life quality and becoming the potential worry in the improvement of people#s livelihood. You may that although local resident’s basic conditions have been improved, there is still quite a distance from the happy life of high quality, comfort, amenity and taste.Current contradictory focus has been gradually shifted from food and clothing to comfort and from survival to life. Comprehensive and holographic life presents new challenges for the improvement of residents# life quality. It would be a serious mistake to only focus on the upgrading of basic necessities while ignore residents# needs for comfortable and tasteful life.There are many factors affecting the life quality of local residents, of which the most central plight is that local residents are lack of modern quality representative of main body spirit, scientific knowledge and communicative ability. This situation makes it difficult to integrate the main bodies whose life quality are improved together so as to form a joint force. Coupled with the negative effects of modernization, life worries are more prominent. However, education can make a difference change such situation.Education path to improve the life quality of local residents is the unity of auxiliary and fundamentality. On one hand, for all the problems encountered in life, education can treat and cure them through the transformation of the educational forms and educational contents; On the other hand, education can make people be the conscious subjects to improve life quality by direct guidance, enlightenment and cultivation so as to realize their own happy life through their own efforts. Auxiliary education path is present. It directly focuses on the most urgent problem; Fundamental education path is long-standing. It creates possibilities for local residents to make continuous improvement of life quality. Auxiliary education path and fundamental education path are supplementary to each other and they jointly contribute to the function of education to improve people#s livelihood. However, their emphasis points change with the times to cater to local conditions. Through such education, the levels of human needs are improved, knowledge system is perfected, ability and quality are generated, social relationships are enriched, spiritual state is significantly lifted, spiritual world is widened and the subject position is established.Unlike other paths, education is an activity to cultivate people and lays emphasis on people’s subjectivity, enthusiasm and initiative. It is not the giving of blood supply but the activation of generating blood. When creating opportunities for improvement, education also makes people have the ability to find opportunities, meet challenges and seize the moment. In the aspect of life improvement, education is submerged and long-standing. If we say that education makes people have the ability and accomplishment to improve life quality by way of activities is the direct effect of education on life quality, then education supports social and economic development, builds harmonious and good environment for the improvement of life quality and lays solid material foundation are its indirect effects.Of course, the promoting effect of education on the life quality of local residents is limited. Auxiliary education path can more effectively raise the life quality of local residents. But this effect is short if not cooperate with other paths; Although fundamental education path is established on the basis of people and society, its longevity makes it difficult to realize its immediate effect and therefore it#s easy to make people ignore its effect. Moreover, the complexity and grandness of the objects acted by this fundamental path also add many variables for the realization of its effect.Anyway, education needs to care for people’s lives. When people are suffering the plight of survivability, education is one of the important supports to walk out of the dilemma; when people are facing the challenges of life, education is the solid backing to rise to challenges. Flexibility is an important characteristic of education. Educational objective itself changes with the primary contradiction of life.All in all, each individual has the need to receive education, or it will not be able to adapt to realistic environment nor achieve continuous and healthy development of the individual entity. Good education helps people to preferably stand on the society, obtain more opportunities and space for development, have a brighter future and enjoy more abundant life.
