Since World WarⅡ,Countries in the world have placed education in the height of the strategic development.Education plays a more and more important role in international competition and social development that give rise to the scope of education reform.Life-long education is an ongoing process from birth to death.Without any doubt,Early Childhood Education should be the beginning of life-long learning and an important part of national education system.Also,it plays a significant role in public welfare undertakings.Compared with developed countries,China face more prominent problems in Early Childhood Education.Over the years,one of the serious problems is lack of policy support,which can not meet the demand of long-term social development.As a young country,Canada among the advanced countries in the world quickly in the short time,education should be a force to be reckoned with.Ontario is Canada’s largest province,which adjacent to the core development area of America.Ontario has developed into a thriving center of politics, economy, education and culture.Especially,the Early Childhood Education policy presents its own characteristics.Meanwhile,the Early Childhood Education of Ontario entered a period of rapid development after2000,government have funded a series of policies and projects.The most representatives are Early Learning for Every Child Today:A Framework of for Ontario early childhood settings(2003), The Early Childhood Educators Act(2007) and The Child Care and Early Years Act(2014).Understanding the successful experience of Ontario to develop Early Childhood Education policy will not only help us to reflect on the deficiency and weakness in our country,but also can provide useful lessons and inspiration to China.This thesis consists of the preface and six other parts.Preface:Briefly introduce the reasons for choosing this topic;reviews the existing relevant domestic and international literatures;explains the research methods.Section one:Describe the developing background of the Early Childhood Education policy in Ontario Canada after 2000,including scientific research,human resources investment,public welfare and the requirements of the democratization.Section two:Mainly analysis the”Early Learning for Every Child Today:A Framework of for Ontario early childhood settings(2003)”,”The Early Childhood Educators Act(2007)”and”The Child Care and Early Years Act(2014)”,to understand the Early Childhood Education policy of Ontario.Section three:Analysis the fundamental value orientation of Ontario Early Childhood Education policy:fairness,diversity and all-inclusive.Section four:Describe the implement achievements of Ontario’s early childhood education policy after 2000.Including the positive contribution,as well as the challenges they are confronted with.Section five:Reveal the characteristics of Ontario’s early childhood education policy,including the aspects of American influence,integration education and care,Compulsion by Law and financial investment,attach great importance to vulnerable children,early childhood educator’s professional development.Section six:Conclude the inspirations from the Ontario’s early childhood education policy after 2000.Including completing the early childhood education law,increasing the financial investment,training the early childhood educators,ensuring education fairness,attaching importance to scientific research,improving the service of educational management system.
