The effectiveness of English learning besides some objective factors(such as learning environment, the learner’s own talent, teachers’ teaching level, etc.), still involves teachers’ own effective factors. In English teaching, teachers’ effective factors play a role in promoting or hindering the effectiveness of study. In English teaching, active, pleasant, passionate, witty and healthy affect has an important influence on the development of students’ understanding and mastering English and their ability of using English comprehensibly. However, negative, irritable, irascible, sensitive and imperative affect could lead to students learning disabilities,make them have a strong sense of frustration and resentment, seriously affect their learning effect. Therefore, teachers’ affect attach great importance to English teaching. Besides, junior middle school English learning is not only crucial but also fundamental. So, teacher should give full play to the positive role of his or her own affect in English teaching activities, which could create a good teaching environment, arousing the students’ interest, cultivating students’ autonomy, cooperative spirit and creative ability. Since the 1970’s humanistic language-teaching theory begins to focus its attention on affect and personality in language teaching. In Krashen’s Affective Filter Hypothesis, he states affective factor plays a very important role in second language acquisition. Piaget emphasises the process of cognitive construction is the process of affective construction in his theory of affective development. In China, many researches of affect in learning have been done. “ the emotional I. Q”, “effective teachers”, “enjoyable education” and “successful education” have been appeared. But during the English teaching, how to play the role of teacher’s affect has still been little studied. On the basis of some research and theory, based on my own teaching practice, this paper use literature method, interview method, the actual example and survey report to discuses the relationship between teachers’ effect and junior middle school English teaching, find out the problems of teachers’ effect in the application and according to how to treat students, use teaching materials, control classroom teaching these three aspects, put forward strategies about how to effectively play the positive role of teachers’ affect during the English teaching. Hopefully, our English teachers can give students more care, pay attention to their effective needs. Give full play to the positive role of teachers’ effect, create suitable education for students’ development to make students experience the happiness and success of learning English.
