With the continuous deepening of mathematical education reform, mathematical learning cases are more and more popular in classroom teaching, thus they have got more attention from vast mathematical educators. The learning cases, which are product of the era of education, have attracted all-roundteaching transformation, as well as multilevel and multi-dimensional teaching problems. Therefore, learning cases fundamentally change learning ways of students, working status of teachers and educational principle of schools.This study makes Questionnaire, interview and classroom observation survey to parts of math teachers and students in middle schools including Kunming No.8 middle School, Kunming Wuhua District Experimental Middle School, Cheng Gong District Wu Jia Ying Middle School, Song Ming County Song Yang No.1 Middle School and Dong Chuang District A Wang Town Middle School. The main purpose of the survey is to figure out the current situation of application of mathematical learning cases in classroom teaching in middle schools. Results of the survey include:(1)The acceptability of teachers for usage and psychological reception of learning cases have nothing to do with school regional of them, while they are related with their ages and regions;(2)Mathematical learning cases are popular and are helpful for both teaching of teachers and learning of students;(3)Because of lack of correctrecognition forlearning cases,some teachers consider the learning cases as the test cases, the memorization of the definitions and theorems or the repetition of teaching materials;(4) The largest obstacle of using learning cases for teachers is that they are unable to draw up learning cases with high quality.On the basis of survey data and interview results, combining with literature and case analysis, the paper proposes the drawing and using strategies of learning cases:(1)Drawing of learning cases should be guided by curriculum;(2) Actual situation of students should be studied before we draw up learning cases;(3)We should draw up mathematical learning cases according to the unique nature of mathematics;(4)Templates of mathematical learning cases should be made;(5) Drawing of learning cases should be designed with “Instruction”.The author hopes that this research result can draw attention of mathematics teachers in middle schools and provide reference for using mathematical learning cases in classroom teachingeffectively.
