Mind map’s application has been widely concerned in the educational field. The mind map can help senior one students raise interest in chemistry, establish the scientific understanding to chemistry, clarify the inherent connection of chemical knowledge, improve learning habits and review efficiency.In this paper, literature method, observation method, questionnaire method and interview method were adopted. Mixing senior one chemical features with current status of students’ learning, the feasibility and necessity of applying the mind map to chemical review in senior one was illustrated, and then fellow the application strategy research of applying the mind map to chemical review in senior one. Combining with curriculum standards, the relevant educational principles and the senior one students’ actual situation, some application principles, application strategies and the relevant matters were proposed, which need attention when using mind map to review the chemical knowledge of senior one. Finally, some contents in the compulsory part, including the chemical substances and their reactions, metals and their compounds, non-metals and their compounds, periodic law and periodic table of elements and organic compounds, were selected to design typical mind map cases in the aspect of review.The aim of this study is to let more chemical educational researchers and workers have a further understanding of applying the mind map in the chemistry review of senior one, and understand how to use mind map to guide students to review with the help of examples, so as to attract more students to learn chemistry and love chemistry.
