With the development of the era, the word of fragmentation has been familiar to more and more people. In real life, there are many fragments of time, but most people do not reasonably use and arrange them, not to mention conducting physical exercise in the fragmented time. According to the studies of U.S. centers for disease control and prevention and the American sports medicine association, doing the intermittent exercises for many times a day can also improve the body health and achieve the fitness effect. At present, there are many domestic researches about fragmented time in areas such as sociology, economics, information media and other fields, but the research of doing physical exercise using fragmented time had little achievements.According to the characteristics of college life, this study aims at understanding the realistic situation and demand of fragmented time for college students, approving the feasibility of daily intermittent exercises for several times using fragmented time and exploring detailed methods and solutions suitable for fragmented exercises, in order to help college students to use fragmented time reasonably and enhance the consciousness of physical exercise, cultivate the good habit of lifelong physical exercise.This study regarded the sophomores in Southeast University as investigation objects, chose 400 students of eight departments in different subject types as the sample, use the way of questionnaires, and employ literature, statistics, interviews, comparative analysis and other research methods to understand the current situation of physical exercises of college students and the cognition, employment and demand of Fragmented time.The results:1. There are many available fragmented times in the daily life of the college students, college students haven’t yet developed the consciousness and habits of doing physical exercises using these times.2. Although most students have strong consciousness of physical exercise, but they don’t have fixed physical exercise rule and habit, nor have establishments of the concept of doing exercises using fragmented time.3. It has certain advantages to conduct physical exercise using fragmented time, which can change the traditional habits of college students’exercising.4. The degree of participation for female college students’physical exercise is low, correlated exercise contents of fragmented time can help femaleuniversity students to improve body shape, develop the consciousness and habit of physical exercise.Suggestion:1. To strengthen the concept of doing exercise in fragmented time, publicize and promote the exercise method with fragmented time, construct the good atmosphere of doing exercise.2. Increase the investments, create the physical exercise environment using fragmented time.3. Put forward the methods and means of physical training using fragmented time through using of mobile phones, Internet and other new media.4. Strengthen the guidance of physical exercise for female college students, improve the participation degree and enthusiasm for female college students’ physical exercise.
