| The sports industry cluster is a new bright spot and the main melody of the development of sports industry today. It is also a special organization of the social and economic development,which is important to accelerate the progress of regional economic development and promote local industry competitiveness. The first period of the sports industry in Shandong province begins in the 1980 s, and it has formed a certain scale of the sports industry cluster after 30 years. However it is not good enough compared with other cities in China. It contributes less to our economy and grows slowly.In this paper, I use the method of documentary, expert interview, field investigation, comparative analysis and logical analysis to analyze the present situation, development mechanism, development patterns and development countermeasure. The following is the conclusions:1. The current sports industry cluster in Shandong province mainly includes the regional brand’s sports group, Shandong sports lottery group, regional sports goods industry group, sports intermediary business, sports tourist group and sports entertainment and so on. Compared with other provinces, Shandong sports industry cluster is still the elementary period of development. Although formed part of sports industry cluster, the sports industry cluster as a whole has a small number and small scale, sports products are not technological enough which means it has to be promoted.2. Adopting the method of SWOT, this paper clearly points out the inside and outside environment faced by the development of Shandong province sports industry clusters. As a whole, Shandong province sports industry clusters is in growth stage, but there are many problems to be solved, the most important among which is the binary structure of the sports industry and the unbalance of internal structure, and they restrict the development of Shandong province sports industry clusters.3. It has to make a reasonable development pattern and countermeasures to promote the development of Shandong province sports industry clusters: All levels of government in Shandong province can adopt three development patterns, which are basis- drive pattern, technology-push pattern and regional brand gathered pattern. From the practical level, there are five typical problem to deal with in the development of Shandong province sports industry clusters: First, strengthen government’s service function. Secondly, strengthen the monitoring of the operation of cluster. Thirdly, development industrial units to attract and develop large enterprises. Fourthly, carry out technological innovation vigorously and accelerate the development of professional talents in sports industry, last but not the least, construct a good social and cultural environment and industrial partnerships. |
