Since the 1960 s, School Moral Education has become a hot topic in the field of education, nation-building and civic cultures. These are inseparable from Moral Education in schools. In the West, many countries have accumulated Moral Education or Citizenship Education for long-time development. However, Moral Education is still in weak status in China, restricted by traditional mode of education, single teaching behavior and students’ passive learning habits. Therefore, building a Moral Education Curriculum System also need long-term theoretical research and practical verification.Learn from the valuable experience of Moral Education in other countries is a feasible way.The author starting with the historical perspective, states the Moral Education and the curriculum content arrangement for China and Britain, by providing an analysis of what extend the economic system, political system, history and culture has in promoting the development of Moral Education Curriculum.After combing through the historical development of Moral Education of two countries, this paper is to make a critical comparison of Moral Education under the current environment from both two countries. Mainly from four specific areas: the philosophy and objectives of Moral Education, the Moral Education Curriculum content arrangement, the curriculum implementation strategies, and the assessment methods. By providing a critical comparison to what extent the Moral Education in China and Britain, has put forward the enlightenment of Moral Education Curriculum on middle school in China: to establish student-centered educational objectives; Moral Education Curriculum content is basing on students life and combing today’s multi-cultural background; to develop a verity of moral-educational ways,strengthening the roles of the mass media and campus culture; to construct systematic and feasible Curriculum Evaluation System.
