Objective: In order to comprehend the current situation of contemporary college students’ body posture and investigate the related factors that cause the state of "unhealthy body posture", the article takes the round shoulders and neck forward for instance to research the effect of functional rectification training on ordinary college students’ unhealthy posture. Methods: The article takes 200 students from Xi’an Institute of Physical Education and Xi’an Medical College as the investigation objects, selecting 120 students as the test object, and then to select 42 known as the research objects, using literature data method, expert interview method, questionnaire survey method, experimental method, mathematical statistics and other research methods, focuses on the characteristics and problems of college students’ unhealthy body posture and comprehends the influential level of bad living habits on college students’ physical health and the importance of maintaining correct body posture and further research the effect of functional rectification training on ordinary college students’ round shoulders and neck forward.Results:(1) From the survey about college students’ living habits, we found that more than 61% of college students sit more than 2 hours, 27.43 % of the students did not have any physical activities in a week and over 80% of them work and rest after 23:00 p.m.(2) From the statistics of college students’ attitude towards their own posture, we found that 55% of college students think their posture is unhealthy, 13% do not know their own physical condition and 88% of college students have a strong desire to correct their body posture. At the same time, 89% of the college students who have bad living habits have different problems in body posture.(3) From the eight body posture index measures, we also found that only 2.5%(3) of the total number of the eight indexes are completely normal. The frequency of occurrence of round shoulders, humpback, head forward or backward and cervical over bend is relatively high.(4) After experiment groups(12) carrying on functional rectification training, the proportion in round shoulders decreased by 26%, scapular face deviation angle index have significant difference(P< 0.05) and shoulder abduction distance index had significant difference(P< 0.01). After control group(n = 12) carrying on health care exercises, the proportion of round shoulders decreases by 0.3%, the surface of scapula deviate from the perspective of index difference was not significant(P> 0.05) and shoulder abduction distance index difference was not significant(P> 0.05). Before experiments 24 people suffer from round shoulders. Through the functional rectification training, the scapula angle of 16 people returns to normal.(5) After experiment groups(9) carrying on functional rectification training, neck anteversion decreases by 38% and cervical anteversion angle index changes a lot(p<0. 01). In control groups(9), neck anteversion decreases by 0.7% and cervical anteversion angle index has no significant change(P> 0.05). Before the experiment 18 people suffer from the neck forward. Through the functional rectification training, 11 people return to normal angle.Conclusions:(1) Bad living habits are the main cause of unhealthy body posture in college students. Surfing the Internet for a long time, lack of exercise and sleeping late are the most serious. And lack consciousness of exercise is one of the important aspects.(2) The side of the view of four indicators(head, neck, shoulder bones, pelvis), associating with sitting, is more serious than the back view of four indicators(head, shoulders, spine, pelvis). Neck forward is the main unhealthy head posture, round shoulders hold the highest proportion in the part of scapular, and unhealthy pelvis posture mainly reflects on pelvic retroversion.(3) College students’ attitudes toward unhealthy body posture are not clear and they don’t very care about that.(4) Functional exercise has a good effect on the round shoulders and neck forward.(5) The setting of traditional sports curriculum isn’t very effective on improving the problems of college students’ unhealthy body posture. If we want to truly improve the problems, we should improve daily living habits and develop targeted posture training to make it.
