With the advent of the aging society, the issue of pension is becoming more and moresevere in our rural areas. According to experts, by2020, Chinese aging population will reach230million. Besides, nearly70%of elderly population lives in rural areas, that is to say, bythen, the aging population in our rural areas will reach1.61billion. It is not only a heavyburden for the rural areas which are relatively backward in economy and culture, but also anincreasingly serious problem for our pension issue in these areas. In addition, with thedevelopment of urbanization, the function of traditional family pension mode and the functionof land security in rural areas will continue to be weakened. Although the Government’s newrural endowment insurance to a certain extent make up for the lack of family pension, the newpolicy’s disadvantages do not provide effective security for it. The pension problem is relatedto Chinese social stability and economic development. This paper starts with thedisadvantages of the current rural pension model, then gives a detailed analysis of thechallenges that the rural pension problems will face; and makes deep analysis and researchabout the development of rural community endowment patterns through the means of literaryreview and questionnaire survey, then puts forward some recommendations on thedevelopment of endowment patterns in rural communities.This paper is divided into five parts, the first part introduces some concepts related torural community and the development of rural communities pension model at home andabroad; The second part mainly analyzes the existing challenges of rural endowment pattern,such as the aging society, the process of urbanization and the weakening of the land securityfunction; The third part takes the forms of questionnaire and interviews to show thechallenges and advantages the rural community pension mode will meet in its development inChina; The forth part mainly introduces the significance of the development of ruralcommunity endowment patterns and some principles which are needed to follow; The last partgives some suggestions concerning the development framework of rural communityendowment model.
