Architectural design project manager responsibility system is one of theefforts to implement the business model of many years building design industry,gradually breaking the original unit is widely used in engineering designmanagement model professional the contract responsibility system (room), canmaximizemobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of the majority of the designers,to change the past administration in the management of the legal system andbecome the main mode of architectural design project business. Architecturaldesign project manager in the core leadership in the architectural design work,professional and technical knowledge, organizational skills, business technologylevel and practical engineering experience has an important influence on thesuccess or failure of the architectural design activities. Therefore, it must bescientific and rational select the project manager of the appointment of thearchitectural design.The thesis preferred competency and competency model theory, analysis ofthe architectural design product features and architectural design project managershould have the quality conditions, analysis of the architectural design projectmanager appointed and parse appointments and consequences. The paper focuseson the architectural design project manager evaluation model building ideas,literature review and survey interviews to obtain architectural design projectmanager competence indicators, outstanding performance building design projectmanager and general performance building design projects through behavioralevent interview the manager’s competency gap analysis, identify outstandingperformance building design project manager with significant differentialcompetence, and are used to build the evaluation model of architectural designproject manager. The paper focuses on the ideas and processes of architecturaldesign project manager selection, screening of candidates and determine methodsof architectural design project manager, to build a building design project managerof the official selection of the evaluation system and describes the evaluationindicators to determine the architectural design project manager officially selection evaluation system. Finally, of the above constructed based architecturaldesign project manager competency evaluation model and an empirical studybased on the choice of architectural design project manager competency modelevaluation program.
