With the depth development of China’s market economic system and globaleconomic integration, competition in the domestic electrical equipment manufacturingenterprises are becoming increasingly fierce. Electrical equipment manufacturingenterprises face a number of factors such enterprises to deliver orders and the externalenvironment, compared to equipment manufacturers and the complicated processmanufacturing enterprise, the ability to control the entire lifecycle of the project hasbecome a breakthrough point to electrical equipment manufacturing enterprises toenhance the order delivery level and improve the operational capabilities of theenterprise.Electrical equipment assembly process project management has features as follow:long execution process, mass processing steps, high demands of cooperativemanagement. Faced with increasingly fierce market competition, most of the domesticelectrical equipment manufacturing enterprises’ project management orders still usingthe traditional manual approach, leading enterprises failed to cope with rapid changes incapacity can not respond to further enhance the long order cycle, weakening thecompetitiveness of enterprises. Therefore, electrical equipment manufacturingenterprises urgently need to use information technology tools to improve the life cycleof an order item processing capabilities to solve problems such as orders diversification,agile management, in order to improve enterprise comprehensive strength. In this paper,for the point of solving electrical equipment operation issues and needs, combined withERP/MRPII and other advanced management ideas and techniques, we analyzed andstudied the whole project life cycle of complete sets electrical products.Thus, on the base of investigate and analyze electrical appliances enterprises’project operation mode, the team put forward an order-oriented electrical equipmententerprises’ project life cycle management mode, and studied the related key businessprocesses and strategies, then give the overall design of the information system basedon the above mode to help the electrical enterprises’ project management implementingcollaborative informatization.Firstly, according to the enterprise investigation results, analyzed the existingproblems and needs of electrical project management problems, then established aproject life cycle management framework. Around the project life cycle, focusing on analysis of the project plans, costs, production, procurement/outsourcing and other keybusiness processes; and studied four key strategies involved in the project lifecycle,project management strategy based on MRPII, electrical enterprise’ cost planningcontrol strategy based on double standards of cost control, electrical equipmentproduction capacity and purchasing capacity balancing strategy, project executionstrategy based on lean production.Secondly, on the basis of the above study, the team designs the electricalequipment enterprise project lifecycle management system. First, the functionalrequirements of the system were analyzed; then builds orders for electrical equipmentfor the project life cycle management system framework, studys the system functionstructure model; proposes system running mode; Finally, gives out XML-based systemintegration scheme, specifically the relationship between the system and other enterpriseinformation systems to achieve data exchange with other systems such as PDM system.Finally, based on the above research, overall designed the electrical equipmentproduct lifecycle management system, implemented the study results in a electricalenterprise in Chongqing, and achieved good effect.
