Since reform and opening-up, China’s commodity economy develops rapidly.Professional market has been a bridge and link between production field and comsumersection as an important business form, and get a fast development. But, because lackingof scientific planning and pursuing maxterm blindly, it brings some problems toprofessional market, such as unreasonable layout, non-occupation, repeated constructionand so on. Therefore, how to assess adaptability of professional market and exploringinfluence factors of professional market performance is important. This research providespractical and theoretical implications for development plan of professional market andindustry improvement strategy.Based on calculating the index of professional market’s adaptability and using dataof35city during period2002~2010, this paper investigates how industrial cluster,consumption potentiality and traffic condition affect the performance of professionalmarket from the view of industrial cluster theory. We find that, From the national scale,the domestic professional market develops fast rather than die out like foreign market, atthe same time, the adaptability of professional market has characteristics of spaceconcentration and the power of eastern region’ adaptability is higher than middle andwest’s. Besides, the percentage of primary industry, the number of industrial company,the income of citizen, the value of industrial output, the density of standard highwayand railway have positive effect on market at different level, showing that industrialcluster, consumption potentiality and traffic condition are key factors affecting thedevelopment of professional market.In the view of regional terms, in the east region, the numbers of industrial company,the income of citizen, the value of industrial output, the density of standard highwayhave positive effect on eastern professional market at different level; the totalexport-import volume has negative effect on eastern professional market. In the centralarea, the percentage of primary industry, the numbers of industrial company, the incomeof citizen, the density of standard highway have positive effect on central areaprofessional market at different level. In the west region, the percentage of primaryindustry, the income of citizen, the value of industrial output, the total export-importvolume have positive effect on west professional market at different level. The results keep in touch with nationwide investigation.
