Highway traffic is the main mode of tourism transportation , its development is the foundation of tourism's development, at the same time , the development of highway traffic and tourism is to promote each other and mutual dependence . The adaptive development of highway traffic and tourism is the long road of both .There are complex terrain in Qinghai Province, the railway lines are short, and no water transport, air transport lag behind most areas. So road transport is the most important mode of transport, playing an important role in tourism development. In view of this, this paper is based on barrel theory, combined with the theory of landscape ecology, according to a vast amount of data and material, systematic analysis of the adaptability of highway and tourism in Qinghai province .This study not only enriches research content of the relationship of highway traffic and tourism on theory, and it provides scientific basis for the adaptive development of highway traffic and tourism in Qinghai province in practice.According to the principle of constructing adaptive evaluation index system, combining domestic and foreign relevant research, the paper constructs adaptability evaluation index system of the highway traffic and tourism, and redux each index, determines the poor standardization method as dimensionless method of this paper. According to the thought of barrel theory, it chooses oak improved method of adaptive analysis, namely Gray Euclid weighted average correlation , builds the adaptability evaluation model of highway traffic and tourism ,Reference index dimensionless at home and abroad and all kinds of other classification criteria of grading method of comprehensive evaluation value to determine adaptive discriminant basis of this highway traffic and tourism.Sure application variation coefficient calculation the weight of every evaluation index.Again, the paper analyses the present developping situation of highway traffic and tourism in Qinghai province, selects four time data and material, according to established adaptability evaluation model of highway traffic and tourism ,namely Gray Euclid weighted average correlation , specific calculate and comprehensive evaluate the adaptability of highway traffic and tourism . According to the discriminant basis,it has the calculation results of four times,it is not fit extremely ,and it is developping to gradually adaptability state.Finally, the adaptability situation of the highway traffic and tourism is analyzed and summarized in province, in the tourism development of Qinghai, the highway traffic is the limit to lnfluce its development , and in system of highway traffic, highway coefficient is the largest , but its largest attribute values is small, restricted the development of road traffic, it has also become the short board to restrict the development of the tourism industry of highway traffic in Qinghai province . For such a result, this paper are analyzed and the preliminary discussion.
