With the continuous development of our economy, urbanization processaccelerates, resulted in the increase of urban population. This makes the trafficcongestion problem more serious. In order to alleviate the urban traffic congestion,the public begin to put the focus on urban subway for the subway does not take upfloor space and for its punctuality, safety, large capacity, high efficiency, lowenvironmental pollution, etc. The existing practices of metro cities have proved thatthe construction of subway will provide new growth points for urban economy andthe metro line tends to be the gold line of a city. With the opening of Nanchangsubway construction, this paper will put Nanchang subway plus community mode asfoothold to study how the mode boosts the economic development of Nanchang.Firstly, this paper expounds the related theory on subway promoting thedevelopment of urban economy and summarizes the theory and experience aboutsubway development mode. Secondly, the subway plus community mode iscomprehensively presented in terms of its connotation, the feasibility and significance.Besides, taking Nanchang subway as the foothold, this paper analyses how thesubway plus community mode boosts the economic development in the perspective ofthe land use, site along the business circle, community culture, spatial pattern,information media and so on. Moreover, the mechanism that the subway pluscommunity mode boosts the urban economy is studied in terms of the humanresources flow, the capital flow and the technology flow based on the method ofsystem dynamics. Finally, the suggestions of how to realize subway plus communitymode applied by Nanchang is given from two aspects, i.e., the optimization of landpurchases and storage mechanism, along with the way of diversification development.
