Research On Regional Logistics Capability

The logistics statistical work is constantly improving with that our country has paid moreand more attention on logistics industry. In2010, the National Development and ReformCommission, China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing jointly promulgated the sociallogistics statistical accounting and reporting system, the statistical index included the totalsocial logistics, added value of the logistics, the cost of social logistics, the output of sociallogistics, transportation index, and so on. Then, in March5th2012, in order to reflect thecurrent state of development of the logistics industry more accurately, China Federation ofLogistics and Purchasing announced boom index of logistics industry.Regional logistics capability react the condition of one city or one region. The research onlogistics capability Concentrate on Enterprise logistics capability and supply chain logisticscapability, and on regional logistics capability is not comprehensive enough.so that, basing onunderstand the Present situation of using the logistics statistical index system, Logisticscompetitiveness, the level of logistics development, the logistics capacity and regionallogistics capability, I choose the regional logistics capability as the object of my paper. Themain contents of this paper are embodied as follows:1, The design of first class index in regional logistics evaluation index system will basedon the system theory, the first class index includes Industrial basis index (logistics carrier),development environment index (external environment), transportation index (logisticsObject),enterprise logistics capability (logistics subject).and then make sure second classindex basing on the analysis of factor, set up the index construct.2, Basing on the Guangzhou logistics statistical project,choose Guangzhou as examplesin my paper，and compare with the Pearl River Delta. Because of the index number andoverlap information between indexes, I will use principal component analysis to evaluatethese two regional logistics capabilities; as a result, Guangzhou is higher than the Pearl RiverDelta. In the other hand, all index had similar load on the principal components, it meansrationality of the index.3, Principal component analysis can’t compare the indexes, so that, basing on the attribute of the index, use the variation coefficient method to calculate the percentage ofevery index, and quantitate the first class indexes, then compare and analysis them throughhorizontal and vertical angle.4, basing on the font research in my paper, put forward suggestion of Guangzhoulogistics development through five aspects: Industrial infrastructure, logistics management,the joint development of manufacturing and logistics, city distribution, electronic commerce.
