There is a dramatical change in China rural society. Before we knew it, China ruralreform has quietly gone through thirty years of age. More than three decades of ruralreform, on the way to rural modernization, we have achieved a great deal ofachievements but encountered much depression and frustration. Reflecting the coursecan provide us valuable experience and enlightenment for deepening overall reformand opening up, further promoting the modernization of rural areas and Chineseoverall modernization. This thesis just wants to make a clear ideas of rural reformform the perspective of historical development and historical materialism as well asthe reason why rural reform can achieve success.About all, make a summary of three decades rural reform, that is, the backgroundof rural reform, the different stages and the achievements. By making a list of therural household contract responsibility system, circulating farm products, establishingdeveloping the town business, establishing market economy system, making anoverall plan of urban and rural for new rural construction, etc. We found theproduction relationship of rural plan system a fundamental factor to obstacle ruralproductivity development at the time. Market economy system has been establishedthrough four reform stages, explored a Chinese characteristic-rural-modernizationway and summed up experiences in rural reform.Secondly, analysing the reasons of reform success lies in historical materialismperspective from four different angles and views inevitability of rural reform success.By analysing, we come to conclusion that there are four courses in three decadesreform:(1) production relationship having to adjust productivity development,(2)Masses create history,(3) human rights freedom,(4) being accustomed to worldhistory development.Which enable us to achieve reform brilliant success.Lastly, mainly from the problems and risks of the current rural social development,I’d like to make a brief of my own opinion to the directions of current rural societydevelopment and reform combining the experience and enlightenments above and thethird plenary session of the eighteenth.
