The Application Of Program Management In Z Company

After years of exploration, Z Company has preliminarily established a BusinessManagement System which based on Project Management. With the development of companybusiness, most of Ubiquitous Energy Station projects have facing with problems, such as largeinvestment, long construction period and wide professional range and so on. Z Company hasalso faced with many management problems which brought by projects increasing, scalesexpanding, and regional expansion and so on. Under this Situation, the company must find amore effective management mode. To construct Program is one of effective way, which can setup a bridge between the company’s Business Management System and company’s projects,integrate enterprise management processes and projects management processes, shareresources and realize the maximization of enterprise value.This paper attempts to analyze the advantages of Program management in multi-projectmanagement, which based on the author’s practice from work and knowledge during GCTstudy, combined with project management practice and experience in Z Company. The analysisis made from the perspectives of concept, organization and the life cycle of Program. After theanalysis of multi-project management mode in Z Company, the paper puts forward that usingProgram management mode to solve this problem. On the basis of theoretical analysis andproblem analysis, combined with the company’s practical situation, this paper proposes theProgram management mode which suitable for Z Company. At the same time, it also provides adetailed introduction about the construction of related supporting mechanism in theimplementation of Program at Z Company. This paper is aimed at providing a "Guideline” inmulti-project management, in order to improving the current multi-project management mode,and also enhance the company’s business market competition ability and project managementcapability.
