Study On The Development Of Circular Economy In Jiayuguan City

With the increasing of human production activities, the demand of naturalresources is increasing for the society, at the same time, the emissions ofenvironmental pollutants in the production process are endangering the survival ofhuman ecological environment. The traditional economic development model whichconsumes a large amount of resources to sustain growth has showed its ownlimitations. In recent decades, Global and regional contamination concentration, onhuman health of body and mind caused a tremendous negative impact. On the premiseof not destroy the ecological environment, maintain sustained economic growth hasbecome the hot destination of scholars around the world strive to resolve the problem.With the development requirements of the economy in the new period, Circulareconomy has been proposed and proved its superiority under the practice forverification. The circulation economy makes up for the deficiency of the traditionaleconomic development, it will process and reprocess the waste which traditionaleconomy cannot solve in the process of production, and convert the waste intorenewable resources, and turn into the production cycle at last, it will reduce theecological environment pressure greatly has caused by the production activities. Thegreen economy development mode of circular economy improves the contradictionbetween economy and environment and promotes the sustainable development ofhuman beings.Based on the Environmental Kuznets Curve and the circular economy theory athome and abroad, the paper analyses the circular economy development in the typicalwestern industrial city–Jiayuguan City. First of all, it has carried on the empiricalanalysis for the relationship between main pollutant emissions and economic growthin the Jiayuguan City, the results show that Industrial wastewater was decreased yearby year as economic growth, however, industrial waste gas and industrial solid wasteis a significant upward trend as the economy grows. Although the Jiayuguangovernment increased investment at the end of industrial management, but the effectwas not obvious. If continue to develop in such a way, Will eventually lead to thedeterioration of ecological environment in irreversible trend. The conclusiondemonstrated the urgency and necessity of developing circular economy in the Jiayuguan City. Secondly, the paper evaluated the development of circular economyfor Jiayuguan City, the Statistics indicate that circulation economic developmentmomentum in Jiayuguan City, and have reached a basic cycle stages in2012.Resource efficiency and pollution emission reduction system get a good development,however, the development of recycling and environmental protection system wereunstable, and part of the index have worse trend. Finally, on the basis of the analysisconclusion build circular economy industrial chain, and put forward the developmentideas and countermeasures which including the circular agriculture, Circular industrialand Circular services for the Jiayuguan City.
