In2012, China’s total import and export trade in goods was$3.8679trillion,ranking second in the world. And at the same period, our transportation service tradedeficit amounted to$4.6949trillion, did not match with the position of big goodstrading country in the world. Our transportation service trade always in the situationof deficit, it’s not only harm to its development but also to the national economy. Acountry’s transport services is the basis for national economic development, goodtransportation system can provide important material guarantee for socialdevelopment and people’s living standards improving. There are a lot of factors thataffecting transportation service trade, industrial structure is one of the most importantfactors of them. Different industrial structure of the national economy has differenttransportation service need in terms of quality and quantity. When a country’s trade intransport service’s development can’t match the changing needs in terms of qualityand quantity, the transportation services trade deficit will appear. Therefore, theanalysis of industrial structure adjustment on our transportation services trade deficithas important theoretical value and practical significance. This paper firstly reviews the domestic and foreign research results on industrialrestructuring and trade in transportation service, laying the theoretical foundation forfuture study. Second, in the basis of the previous theoretical studies, this articleconstructed a multiple regression analysis model which choosing the transportationservice trade deficit amounted as the dependent variable, primary products andmanufactured goods imports and exports as the argument. Then, use the software ofEviews5.0to empirical analysis and the results showed that: there are significantcorrelation between our primary products imports and exports of manufactured goodsand transportation services trade deficit, but there is no obvious correlation betweenthe primary product exports and imports of industrial products and transportationservices trade deficit. It means that the growth of imports of primary products andexports of manufactured goods are the main factors leading to the growth oftransportation services trade deficit. Finally, based on the results of empirical research, this article gave some reasonable proposals on how to optimize the industrial structureand reduce the trade deficit in transportation service trade.
