Improving logistics’ operation efficiency has an irreplaceable role in improving regionaleconomy efficiency, expanding employment as well as enhancing market competitiveness.Based on the analysis of current situation, the paper estimated the TFP scores and itsevolution tendency of Jiangxi logistics industry in2003-2011. Also some theoretical basisesfor logistic policy have been put forward by studying the affect factors of logistics TFP on thepurpose of enhancing the overall efficiency. The mainly points of the article as follow:First, statically analyze the logistics TFP of11cities and four economic zones during2003to2011by applying DEA method. Results show that most of the cities areDEA-inefficiency. Since the logistics resources allocation does not reach the optimal state, thewhole performance of the logistics industry is inefficiency.Second, dynamically analyze the logistics TFP of Jiangxi province by using the Malmquistproductivity index. Results indicate that technological progress is the key to Malmquist indexgrowth. In addition, the logistics efficiency has been partially improved since Jiangxi has fullyseized the opportunities and increased investment in logistics infrastructure. However, because of the differences in resources endowment, industrial structure, as well as the degreeof economic opening to the outside world, the logistics efficiency gap between the foureconomic zones is big.Third, Select education development, regional industrial structure, level of opening up,degree of government intervention and macro economic development as the five independentvariables to do probit regression analysis. Results found that the education level, industrialstructure and the opening level have significant impact on logistics TFP, while governmentintervention significantly hinders its promotion. Moreover, macroeconomic has nothing to dowith the TFP improving. Finally, based on the above analysis, put forward some advises such as focusing onoptimizing the logistics structure and changing the logistics pattern from labor-intensive totechnology-intensive, so as to improve the logistics TFP index and the economic level.
