Cost-benefits Analysis Of Investment Assessment Of Shipbuilding Enterprise’s Information System

Now days, the competition between shipping industry is becoming unprecedentedintense. In particular, the impact of the financial crisis on the shipping industry graduallybecomes evident in recent years. In order to further optimize the allocation of resources,increase productivity and improve management level, it is urgent for shipbuilding enterpriseto carry on information construction. As the investment of information system is growingconstantly, and Large-scale system such as ERP has become progressively longer in durationand more cost intensive, it is more and more necessary for enterprises to evaluate it.However, due to the late and incomplete status of evaluation index system of shipbuildingenterprise’s information system, it is difficult for shipbuilding enterprise to conductquantitative assessment of information system and there is always a certain deviationbetween the results of assessment and true situation. Just under such a background, thispaper conducts the research on the investment assessment of shipbuilding enterprise’sinformation system.At first, this paper analyzes the necessity of assessment of shipbuilding enterprise’sinformation system. Then, this paper put forwards the cost index systems, the benefits indexsystems and the comprehensive index systems. At last, this paper carries on the empiricalresearch on the basis of introducing the corresponding estimation methods. Among them,the cost is divided into tangible cost and intangible cost, and the benefits include tangiblebenefits and intangible benefits.In this paper, the focus of research is shown below:（1）This paper based on the study from overseas and domestic lists four importantintangible benefits including strategic support, management improvement, internalimprovement and customer satisfaction, and puts forward a series of hypothesizes, andaiming at shipbuilding enterprise for the first time validates them by the method ofstructural equation modeling, and finally gets their weights and the mechanism betweenthem.（2）Based on the combination of the cost index systems and the benefits indexsystems, this paper put forwards the cost-benefits comprehensive index systems, andconducts the empirical research by the method of improved analytic hierarchy process, andfinally get the best solution for the enterprise and provides guidance and advice forinformation decision.
