With the rapid development of global economy, the enterprise competition hasbecome more and more fiercely. Beyond those traditional competitive advantages,enterprises pay their attention to competitive soft strengths and so do corporate cultureand corporate social performance. According to the corporate social responsibilitytheory, enterprises should take responsibility not only to their shareholders, but also toother stakeholders such as employees, customers and social communities. This wouldimprove the business performance. Based on that the influence which the corporateculture would bring to the employees’ thought and behavior is perennial and stable, it isnecessary to study the corporate social performance from the perspective of corporateculture. It would realize the expected corporate social performance and drive it to bestable inside the company.In the review of corporate culture trait theory, culture adaptability theory,stakeholder theory and corporate social responsibility theory, this paper constructed themodel of the relationship between the corporate culture and corporate socialperformance, including four variables as corporate culture, corporate social performance,the strength and consistency of corporate culture. The core of the model is therelationship between the corporate culture and corporate social performance, with themoderator of the strength and consistency of corporate culture. Based on the survey data,the study verifies the relationship between the corporate culture and corporate socialperformance. In the end, the study offered suggestions for organization management oncorporate culture construction, good corporate social responsibility acquisition, thestrength and consistency of corporate culture improvement.This paper connected the corporate culture and corporate social performancedirectly, verified this relationship and enriched and extended the related research area.Taking the strength and consistency of corporate culture into consideration made theresearch more widely. Meanwhile, based on the conclusion, this paper suggested thatenterprises could constructed a driving force inside the organization to optimizecorporate social responsibility from the perspective of corporate culture.
