With the rapid development of the civil aviation of China, the airlines need more and more flight attendances. Nevertheless, the turnover of the flight attendances has become a general phenomenon in human resource management. How to keep the turnover rate of the flight attendances within a reasonable range has become a serious challenge for the airlines management.The thesis selects M airlines as the research object, and from different viewpoints, analyses the causes of the turnover of flight attendants.From the viewpoint of environment, the turnover is caused by the development of economy and information technology, globalization of economic, transforming of employment views, etc. From the viewpoint of organization, service dispatching system, single career path, unreasonable salary, stress at work should be considered. From the viewpoint of the attendants, the main causes include too high expectation, poor mental health, etc.This article points out that the turnover of flight attendances can bring about a series of effects, including positive effects and negative effects. The goal of the human resource management is not to reduce the turnover rate to zero, but to keep it in a reasonable range. Then the airlines could keep the excellent flight attendances to improve the competition power of the enterprise.From the viewpoint of M airlines, this article puts forward the following countermeasures for the turnover of flight attendants:unimpeded labor relations change path, reasonable human resources planning and recruitment exercise, comprehensive learning maps, scientific and humanized scheduling, people-oriented corporate culture and reasonable incentive system.In the current researches, there are few concerning the turnover of flight attendances. The author hopes that this research of M airlines can provide inspiration and help the airlines to control the turnover rate of flight attendances, match the benefits and the targets of flight attendances and the airlines, and realize the mutual development.
