Research On The Impact Of Targeted Poverty Alleviation On Community Participation Of Residents In Rural Tourism Destinations

Poverty is one of the ten most burning problems in the world today and fighting with poverty is a historical task that all mankind are facing.With the rapid development of tourism,pro-poor tourism is a typical form of reducing poverty through industrial development.Due to its strong market advantage,emerging industry vitality,strong refreshing function and great driving effect,it has become an important method for poor areas which is with rich tourism resources to get rid of poverty and become rich.And it play an increasingly significant role in China's poverty alleviation and development.As the nature of poverty in rural areas of China changes from regional and holistic to local and individual,China's poverty alleviation strategy changes from traditional poverty alleviation to targeted poverty alleviation.Traditional tourism poverty alleviation is affected by the background of poverty alleviation and policy-makers pay more attention to the poverty alleviation performance at the regional dimension which causes the ignorance of the poor population' s interests for a long time and results in the insignificant achievement of tourism poverty alleviation.The lack of endogenous driving force of poverty villages and family is one of the problems that we are facing in tourism poverty alleviation.From the perspective of implementing effect,it is an objective fact that rural households'participation is not extensive enough.Different from traditional tourism poverty alleviation methods,targeted tourism poverty alleviation emphasizes "precision" which focuses on the core issues of "who to support","who to help" and "how to help".How to effectively apply the concept of targeted poverty alleviation to the practice of poverty alleviation through tourism?How does targeted poverty alleviation in tourism promote the occurrence of community participation behaviors and so as to maximize the benefits of the poor population?These are all practical and academic problems that need to be solved urgently.In order to clarify the above questions,this study takes Gelanping village,Baokang county,Hubei province as the case,and mainly completes the following work:1.In the literature review and deeply interview of 10 people,basically constructing an interactive correlation model between targeted poverty alleviation and community participation of rural tourism residents,putting forward the research hypothesis,analyzing the influence relationship between community participation factors and the participation behavior,investigating the adjustment function of accurate evaluation in the influence factors of community participation for poverty alleviation and community participation behavior.2.Referring to the existing mature measurement scale,the measurement scale of this study was designed.After field survey,questionnaires out and back to data,the factor analysis was used to verify the scientificity of the measurement scale.The modified model fitting indexes all reached the ideal value.The formal model consists of community participation ability,community participation perception,community participation intention,community participation behavior and targeted poverty alleviation evaluation.3.This study reveals the influence pattern of targeted poverty alleviation on community participation through structural equation model analysis and finds out the key factors that influence community participation through case study based on the results of hypothesis test.According to the results of data analysis,this study puts forward the countermeasures of targeted poverty alleviation in tourism.So as to provide beneficial references for the managers and try to promote the sustainable development of local tourism.The research conclusions of this study are as follows:1.Participation ability has significant positive influence on participation perception.and also participation perception has significant positive influence on participation intention.2.Participation perception has a significant positive impact on community participation.Participation ability has a significant positive impact on community participation.Community participation intention has no significant influence on community participation.3.The results of regulating effect test shows that:targeted poverty alleviation evaluation has a positive regulating effect on community participation,the evaluation of targeted poverty alleviation has a positive regulating effect on the perception of participation and community participation,targeted poverty alleviation evaluation has no positive regulating effect on community participation.The tentative contributions of this study are as follows:1.Proposing the interactive correlation model between targeted poverty alleviation and community participation of residents in rural tourism places,which enriches relevant studies on targeted poverty alleviation in tourism.2.Analyzing the key factors that influence community participation,which provides management reference for local tourism targeted poverty alleviation and development.
