Local Road Transport Impact On The Regional Economy Development

Road transport is the basis of economic and social development and plays an importantrole in national economic development. The theories of Reginal Economics and ReginalEconomic Geography were applied in this studied. Based on the backgroud construction of alarge metropolis city-Xiazhangquan, the relationship between the Xiazhangquan roadtransportion and regional economic development was taken as the research object to explorethe interaction mechanism between road transport and regional economic development andexplore the effect of road transport of Xiazhangquan on regional economic development. Thegreesion analysis was applied to the quantitive relationship. Under he backgroud constructionof a large metropolis city–Xiazhangquan, the feasible proposal was put forward for the betterservice to the regional economic development.Through the analysis of the road transport development to the regional economicdevelopment, and the qualitative analysis of the road transport and regional economicdevelopment, the harmony and adaptability were studied here. Questionnaire was performed tocollect data and to do descriptive statistical analysis. By the investigation of the transportenterprise in the three cities, the Xiazhangquan Road Transport status, regional economicdevelopment status, and the effect of road transport on the Xiazhangquan regional economicdevelopment were analysed, and the relationship between road transport and regional economicdevelopment was discussed in the study. The results showed: there was high relationshipbetween road transport and regional economic development; the road transport played animportant role in the economic development in Xiazhangquan, and it was the important factoreffecting the Xiazhangquan regional economic development. Xiazhangquan regional roadsexisted unbalanced development and other problems, which restricted the harmony between theroad transport and economic development. The problems Xiazhangquan transport developmentfaced and its significant variables are proposed. The road should be developed as per the industral developemnt demand. The investment on infrastructure, acceptiing social funds,optimizing the transport structure, reducing the transport costs and coordinating regional urbanand rural development are provided in this study.
