Research On The Strategies For Resettlement Of Land-lost Peasants After Land Requisition At Nantong City

With the rapid development of urbanization in China, the scale of rural collective land requisition is also expanding. Land acquisition is not only related to the vital interests of the peasants, but also the deep relationship between the stability and the healthy development of the social economy. At present, there still exist some problems in land expropriation, housing removal and resettlement of land-lost peasants, such as low effective and efficient land acquisition demolition work, shortage of systematic safeguard measures, imperfect resettlement compensation standards, huge fund gap in investment for establishment of house for land-lost peasants, etc. which will make a great unfavourable impact on the satisfactory resettlement of landless peasants. Further, unless they are settled down perfectly, they will also make a great impact on the establishment of socialist new countryside and construction of harmony society. Therefore, how to deal with the problem has become a priority work of great significance..In this paper, we mainly study the present situation of resettlement of land-lost peasants in Nantong city after rural land expropriation, the existing problems, as well as analyze the causes of these problems, and then put forward some suggestions and measures on the solution to the above problems. We hope that our research conclusions could supply the government for a conference in the regulation of the relevant laws and regulations on resettlement of land-lost peasants, improve the resettlement work for land-lost peasants as well as obtain reasonable compensation for those land-lost peasants. Further, we hope that our research results could give a big advantage in solving the problems relevant to three rural issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers as well as the effective contribution to the great development of urbanization in Nantong City.
