A Research On The Relationship Between Job Satisfaction&Turnover Tendency Of Blue Collar Workers In European&American Businesses In SIP

According to a survey of William Mercer and SIP Manufacturing Industry as well theissues surfaced during daily management, the turnover rate of blue collar workers in SIP’smanufacturing industry is as high as70-80%. Today, blue collar workers are still on the topof the hard-to-recruit list of every human resource manager in Suzhou Industrial Park. As amanufacturing superpower, it brooks no delay to reassure the front line workers who are atthe core of a business so as to improve the efficiency, quality, service and even technology,boost competitiveness and catch up with the manufacturing level of developed countries toenable the blue collar workers to play a greater role.This paper studies the relationship between the job satisfaction&turnover tendencyof blue collar workers in European&American businesses in SIP (hereinafter referred toas “Blue collar workers”), which is beneficial for understanding the current job satisfactionof blue collar workers, helps enterprises and employees improve job satisfaction andreduce turnover tendency.This paper collects the information about job satisfaction and turnover tendency ofblue collar workers in European&American businesses in SIP based on the previousresearches and brings forward corresponding countermeasures in combination with thecurrent high turnover rate with a purpose to discover the means and approaches toimproving job satisfaction and reducing turnover tendency.The research results show that:⑴The job satisfaction of blue collar workers has a significant negative correlationwith their turnover tendency.⑵There is significant negative correlation between the various demands of blue collar workers and their turnover tendency.Conclusion: Job satisfaction of blue collar workers has impact on the turnovertendency.
