Since municipality, the rapid development of Chongqing hotel industry, with theforeign capital and hotel management group entered, also enhance the competitiveness ofthe hotel. However, Chongqing hotel industry’s overall image and cultural construction islagging behind, compared with Beijing, Shanghai and other city, whether in managementor business still has a certain gap. Hotel in the number of size, facilities to improve thegrade, the competitive situation is change from number to quality, the industry’sdevelopment closely related to human resources, core service competition is thecompetition of personnel quality. Hotel staff professionalism, technical level, occupationpsychological quality, senior management personnel and technical personnel of theportfolio effect, and the formation of a trained with regularity of personnel etc, affect thecompetition ability of hotel industry. Chinese talent of native land hotel in the quality andtraining mode of talents with international hotel has a large gap. The existing senior hotelmanagement personnel70%from overseas, or have had foreign hotel training experience.Chinese still has no professional hotel management school in real sense, nor a completehotel human resources market.This paper uses SWOT analysis method to analyze the hotel industry of Chongqinginternal and external environment, illustrate the necessity of further strengthening theconstruction of high-level talent team.By using the method of questionnaire investigation, found the problems in presentChongqing Hotel high-level talent team in the scarcity of talent, quality is not high, poorstability and so. Through the study of the current situation, put forward from the good highlevel talent reserve, through school enterprise cooperation to ensure the hotel employeenumber, increase the number of hotel high level personnel; gender ratio optimization ofhigh level talent team, age structure with old and young, the requirements for education,professional skills and qualifications several aspects, achieve high level talent team withreasonable structure; finally, how to improve their stability, put forward to strengthencommunication with the upper and lower levels, also between the colleagues, increasetraining opportunities, promote to encourage effective measures and other methods, hopethat through this study can provide reference for the Chongqing hotel industry and hotels topromote the development, also hope to offer reference for the Chongqing City Hall or hotel industry to formulate relevant policies and measures.
