| Based on the time-series data of12western provinces and cities from1990to2012, using econometric methods and spss19.0and matlab software, on the basis of existing human capital theory, this paper explores the relationship between the economic growth and female human capital in Western areas,researches interactions among different levels of education of women and investment in education and years of education per capita and economic growth in Western areas. Firstly, this paper analyses theoretically the mechanism of how the western female human capital act on in the economic growth, summarizes direct and indirect benefits of female human capital. Secondly, this paper establishes the female and male human capital, education investment and economic growth quantitative index, puts forward hypothesis and carries out model design, uses matlab for data interpolation to complement the missing data. Again, this paper uses SPSS19.0to make multiple regression analysis and collinearity diagnostics, comes to the conclusion that there exists collinear relationship among variables, then uses principal component analysis method to determine the required principal components and make principal component regression analysis, get the regression equation and relevant conclusions, including that there is a positive correlation between average education year of female and economic growth, the same as investment on human capital and economic growth. The female labor force proportion of junior high school, Senior high school and college education can promote economic growth, while the rest show negative correlation. With the level of education increases, the effect of the proportion of female labor force on economic growth increases. Compared with men, the female that accept elementary, junior high, high school, college education have a greater influence on economic growth, the rest education level is smaller, average education year of male have a greater effect on economic growth than female. Then make relevant recommendations. Then this paper uses the conclusions drawn from the analysis, focus on the analysis of the current situation of the education levels which play a role in promoting economic growth in western areas and the existing problems of female human capital development in the west. Then proposes the development of female human capital must be built in line with the characteristics of the western women’s education and training, provides the basis for the western women investment. |
