Research On Pricing System And Classified Shipping Space Controlling Of Air Cargo

ABSTRACT:Revenue management originates in American airline industry, which is mainly applied to passenger airlines’ revenue management and adopted by many mainstream airlines to improve their efficiency. However, in the field of air cargo, it develops much slower because of the differences between cargo freight and passenger freight. What’s more, we start to research revenue management very late in China, so we do not have many contents in air cargo revenue management.Pricing is one of the key contents of air cargo revenue management. While, as the structure changes and breakthrough development of domestic and international air cargo markets, the development of highway logistic and organization reform of railway cargo in recent years, we need urgently to re-examine and study the existing air cargo pricing system.This paper examines the current development status of worldwide cargo airlines and makes a treading judgment as a basis. By analyzing the product characters and competition of different transport patterns, the paper tries to study the internal and external factors thoroughly that affect air cargo pricing, to reflect the relative development law on the relationship between supply and demand, cost analysis, the value of air cargo and etc.Meanwhile, the innovation of this paper is to turn theory study to tools and methods which have reference significants. First is to forming a scientific and efficient tool and process for air cargo pricing system. And second is to proposing the management and control mode of classified shipping space, to achieve a good development and landing of revenue management.
