Research On Success Critical Factors In The Growth Stage Of Technology-based Small And Micro Enterprises

In recent years, with the proposal of developing strategic emerging industries in China with science and technology as the core, technology-based small and micro enterprises has become a hotspot of research. As a special rising business group, small and micro enterprises are characterized by strong innovative ability, great growth capability and sufficient development potential and so on. Through the former research of development stages of technology-based small and micro enterprises, we can find that the growth stage is a critical period for the development of the enterprises. In this regard, the current research on the success critical factors in the growth stage of technology-based small and micro enterprises possesses both theoretical and practical significance.First of all, with the reference to numerous literatures and based on both internal and external environmental perspective, this paper summarizes twenty-four factors concerned with the growing of technology-based small and micro enterprises from six aspects, including industry environment, government support, market, capital, technology and management. And then, Delphi method is applied to select eighteen alternative success factors in the growing of technology-based small and micro enterprises.Secondly, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is utilized to extract six key success factors for these enterprises and the final version is affirmed by experts.In addition, the Delphi method is applied to draft the evaluation criteria for the success critical factors in the growth stage of technology-based small and micro enterprises and establish the "nine-square-grid" evaluation system. Among them, five special models are discussed and the possible deformation of the evaluation system is revised. Besides, decision selections for the five models are also offered.Finally, the evaluation system is put into practice to evaluate the potential of HT companies so as to provide basis for the government to target the supporting object and propose corresponding countermeasures for the government support.
