Modern Northeast Grain Trade

This paper studies the modern northeast grain trade, Between the late QingDynasty to focus on "Nine18th Incident",：70years of the northeast grain tradewere discussed. In this paper, the essay discusses the northeast food trade over70years between the Late-Qing Dynasty and the September18th incident.Wefocusing on the70years of the northeast formation, development andcharacteristics of food trade, the formation of the northeast agriculturalcommercialization and main characteristics of the management in the process ofgrain trade development since modern times and the change of trade.The unique geographical and natural factors in Northeast is very suitable forthe growth of crops. But in the past, the northeast has been the input area ofgrain, and this situation did not change until the mid Qing Dynasty. Food tradewas, due to many factors,in slow development and even in stagnation. With thereclamation of migrants, policy changing, derived pisolite and the formation ofmodern traffic network and the increase of the international market demand,food trade gradually formed and developed. After the Sino-Japanese war in1895,the Northeast grain trade had got a further development. The political instabilitydid not slow the Northeast grain trade. Instead, the northeast agricultural graintrade broke the original bound and enter a further development period. In1914,the World War II broke out and the European countries were busy with the war.Thus,the development of grain trade was slowed. But after1918,the worldentered the recovery stage, which makes the Northeast grain trade reach thedevelopment summit. In1931,the "nine one eight incident" broke out, theNortheast grain trade was completely controlled by the puppet government and itbegan to change. However, in the development process of food trade,for thespecial political factors in the North-East, the produce and development ofnortheast food trade has its own characteristics. As an important factor topromoting food trade, northeast agricultural commercialization is totally differentfrom the mainland. The former’s greatest characteristic is its great dependenceon foreign market.In spite of this, the development of Modern Northeast grain trade had atremendous impact on agriculture.The development of grain trade in northeastChina still hugely promote the modernization of society, and has far-reachinginfluence on the development of the northeast economy and even the nationaleconomy.In this paper, we discussed the development of the modern northeastgrain trade and its prosperity,as well as its characteristics and influences out ofthis process.
