Industrial Network Linkage Analysis:Concept System And Analysis Framework

Industry linkage, existing objectively, is one of the fundamental relationships among economic management activities. Many problems in management and economy can be attributed to the problems of industry linkage. The classical method to study the industry linkage is the input-output method, namely "input output linkage analysis". However,"input output linkage analysis" essentially belongs to the analysis of two elements relation category, mainly studies the industry linkage strength, and is difficult to study industrial relevance structure. Faced with this problem, from1970s, many scholars began to use the industry network to study the industry linkage, namely " industrial network linkage analysis" the analysis of the linkage in ". Industries and the complex relations of industries can be seen as an industry network. From the perspective of graph and network, the industry is seen as a vertex, and the linkage is seen as an edge (arc).Based on industry network, many practical problems, such as industrial competitiveness, industry upgrading, industrial cluster, supply chain management, etc., can be regarded as the industry network (subnet) optimization problems.At present, Chinese and overseas scholars study industry network mainly from the perspective of enterprises, paying attention to the relations among the behavior subjects and trying to finding how the relations evolve. As for methods, Kauffman NK model, NK Boolean relation model, social network and small world network are widely used. However, these methods cannot be used to study the relationship among products and industries. And few scholars study industry network based on industry linkage. Frankly speaking, there is not an acknowledged concept system and an analysis framework for industry network, which sees industrial structure as the research object. In this context, this paper tries to found the concept system and the analysis framework for industry network, then provides the theoretical basis for the application of industry network.In this paper, chapter1introduces the research background, significance and innovation. Chapter2makes literature review of industry linkage, classical input-output analysis theory, graph, network model and industry network. Based on the in-depth analysis of industry linkage and its connotation, some important concepts such as industrial neighbor linkage, industrial local linkage are proposed in chapter3, and then the concept system is put forward. Chapter4constructs the index system from industrial neighbor linkage and industrial local linkage. In chapter5,the practical calculation shows the index system is reasonable and calculable. Finally, according to the formal research, chapter6gives some conclusions of this study.All in all, this paper introduces the concept system and the index system of industry network, and the practical calculation example shows that linkage analysis of industry network not only enriches the input-output linkage theory, but also shows a more broad application prospects in the field of economic and management.
