In today’s knowledge economy era, Human capital makes more and morecontribution to the social economic growth and business performance. Human capitalis gradually becoming the important strategic resources of enterprises instead ofphysical capital, becoming the source by which enterprise can keep long-standingcompetitive advantage. In the production and operation activities of enterprise, how togive full play to the role of human capital, to maintain the dominant position ofenterprises becomes the important research topic in the current academic circles. Mostof the existing researches verify the influence of human capital on businessperformance, but the mechanism of action of human capital on business performanceis still not clear. As an incentive means, compensation play a very important role inthe business operation activities. This paper choose the high technology enterprises asthe research sample, on the basis of the research about the impact of human capital onbusiness performance, we study the role of compensation in the process of whichhuman capital affects enterprise performance.This article adopts an integrated method of theoretical analysis and empiricalresearch, on the basis of extensive research related theory, using correlated data of2010-2012China A-Share high technology enterprise for empirical research. First wereviewed the domestic and foreign relevant research results about the human capitaland compensation, human capital and enterprise performance. In the basis of thehuman capital theory, resource-based view, the efficiency wage theory,incentivetheory, we carry out qualitative analysis to the influence of human capital on businessperformance, the influence of human capital on pay, and the correlation ofcompensation and corporate performance. I imitate mediation effect of psychologyand reinforcement theory of praxiology to put forward the correlation model aboutenterprise human capital, the compensation and corporate performance.Then theresearch hypothesis is proposed on the basis of theoretical analysis. After that, modelbuilding, variable definition and data collection is an essential part of empiricalresearch. We carry out descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and regressionanalysis respectively. Through the analysis of regression results, verify therelationship between human capital and enterprise performance, the relationshipbetween human capital and the compensation, and the mediation effect of compensation. Empirical analysis results found positive correlation between thehuman capital and compensation, the human capital and compensation is significantlypositive related to enterprise performance, Compensation acts as a partialintermediary variable between human capital and enterprise performance. Finally weput forward reasonable suggestions bout human capital management and salaryincentive to our country enterprise on the basis of theoretical analysis and empiricalconclusion.
